→

وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبۡحٗا

WaalAAadiyati dabhan

WORD BY WORD
وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِwal-ʿādiyātiBy the racers
ضَبۡحٗاḍabḥanpanting
TRANSLATION

By the racers, panting

|||
1

فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِ قَدۡحٗا

Faalmooriyati qadhan

WORD BY WORD
فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِfal-mūriyātiAnd the producers of sparks
قَدۡحٗاqadḥanstriking
TRANSLATION

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

|||
2

فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبۡحٗا

Faalmugheerati subhan

WORD BY WORD
فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِfal-mughīrātiAnd the chargers
صُبۡحٗاṣub'ḥan(at) dawn
TRANSLATION

And the chargers at dawn

|||
3

فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعٗا

Faatharna bihi naqAAan

WORD BY WORD
فَأَثَرۡنَfa-atharnaThen raise
بِهِۦbihithereby
نَقۡعٗاnaqʿandust
TRANSLATION

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust

|||
4

فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا

Fawasatna bihi jamAAan

WORD BY WORD
فَوَسَطۡنَfawasaṭnaThen penetrate (in the) center
بِهِۦbihithereby
جَمۡعًاjamʿancollectively
TRANSLATION

Arriving thereby in the center collectively

|||
5

إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٞ

Inna alinsana lirabbihi lakanoodun

WORD BY WORD
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَl-insānamankind
لِرَبِّهِۦlirabbihito his Lord
لَكَنُودٞlakanūdun(is) surely ungrateful
TRANSLATION

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful

|||
6

وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞ

Wainnahu AAala thalika lashaheedun

WORD BY WORD
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed, he
عَلَىٰʿalāon
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
لَشَهِيدٞlashahīdunsurely (is) a witness
TRANSLATION

And indeed, he is to that a witness

|||
7

وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

Wainnahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeedun

WORD BY WORD
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed he
لِحُبِّliḥubbiin (the) love
ٱلۡخَيۡرِl-khayri(of) wealth
لَشَدِيدٌlashadīdun(is) surely intense
TRANSLATION

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense

|||
8

۞أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ

Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira ma fee alquboori

WORD BY WORD
۞أَفَلَاafalāBut does not
يَعۡلَمُyaʿlamuhe know
إِذَاidhāwhen
بُعۡثِرَbuʿ'thirawill be scattered
مَاmāwhat
فِيfī(is) in
ٱلۡقُبُورِl-qubūrithe graves
TRANSLATION

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

|||
9

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ

Wahussila ma fee alssudoori

WORD BY WORD
وَحُصِّلَwaḥuṣṣilaAnd is made apparent
مَاmāwhat
فِيfī(is) in
ٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūrithe breasts
TRANSLATION

And that within the breasts is obtained

|||
10

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ

Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaithin lakhabeerun

WORD BY WORD
إِنَّinnaIndeed
رَبَّهُمrabbahumtheir Lord
بِهِمۡbihimabout them
يَوۡمَئِذٖyawma-idhinthat Day
لَّخَبِيرُۢlakhabīrun(is) surely All-Aware
TRANSLATION

Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted
