→

وَٱلذَّـٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗا

Waalththariyati tharwan

WORD BY WORD
وَٱلذَّـٰرِيَٰتِwal-dhāriyātiBy those scattering
ذَرۡوٗاdharwandispersing
TRANSLATION

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

|||
1

فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗا

Faalhamilati wiqran

WORD BY WORD
فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِfal-ḥāmilātiAnd those carrying
وِقۡرٗاwiq'rana load
TRANSLATION

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

|||
2

فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗا

Faaljariyati yusran

WORD BY WORD
فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِfal-jāriyātiAnd those sailing
يُسۡرٗاyus'ran(with) ease
TRANSLATION

And those [ships] sailing with ease

|||
3

فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًا

Faalmuqassimati amran

WORD BY WORD
فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِfal-muqasimātiAnd those distributing
أَمۡرًاamranCommand
TRANSLATION

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter

|||
4

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ

Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun

WORD BY WORD
إِنَّمَاinnamāIndeed, what
تُوعَدُونَtūʿadūnayou are promised
لَصَادِقٞlaṣādiqun(is) surely true
TRANSLATION

Indeed, what you are promised is true

|||
5

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞ

Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAun

WORD BY WORD
وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeed
ٱلدِّينَl-dīnathe Judgment
لَوَٰقِعٞlawāqiʿun(is) surely to occur
TRANSLATION

And indeed, the recompense is to occur

|||
6

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ

Waalssamai thati alhubuki

WORD BY WORD
وَٱلسَّمَآءِwal-samāiBy the heaven
ذَاتِdhātifull of
ٱلۡحُبُكِl-ḥubukipathways
TRANSLATION

By the heaven containing pathways

|||
7

إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖ

Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin

WORD BY WORD
إِنَّكُمۡinnakumIndeed, you
لَفِيlafī(are) surely in
قَوۡلٖqawlina speech
مُّخۡتَلِفٖmukh'talifindiffering
TRANSLATION

Indeed, you are in differing speech

|||
8

يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ

Yufaku AAanhu man ofika

WORD BY WORD
يُؤۡفَكُyu'fakuDeluded away
عَنۡهُʿanhufrom it
مَنۡman(is he) who
أُفِكَufikais deluded
TRANSLATION

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded

|||
9

قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّـٰصُونَ

Qutila alkharrasoona

WORD BY WORD
قُتِلَqutilaCursed be
ٱلۡخَرَّـٰصُونَl-kharāṣūnathe liars
TRANSLATION

Destroyed are the falsifiers

|||
10

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَ

Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona

WORD BY WORD
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose who
هُمۡhum[they]
فِيfī(are) in
غَمۡرَةٖghamratinflood
سَاهُونَsāhūna(of) heedlessness
TRANSLATION

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless

|||
11

يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni

WORD BY WORD
يَسۡـَٔلُونَyasalūnaThey ask
أَيَّانَayyānaWhen
يَوۡمُyawmu(is the) Day
ٱلدِّينِl-dīni(of) Judgment
TRANSLATION

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense

|||
12

يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَ

Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona

WORD BY WORD
يَوۡمَyawmaA Day
هُمۡhumthey
عَلَىʿalāover
ٱلنَّارِl-nārithe Fire
يُفۡتَنُونَyuf'tanūnawill be tried
TRANSLATION

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

|||
13

ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona

WORD BY WORD
ذُوقُواْdhūqūTaste
فِتۡنَتَكُمۡfit'natakumyour trial
هَٰذَاhādhāThis
ٱلَّذِيalladhī(is) what
كُنتُمkuntumyou were
بِهِۦbihifor it
تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَtastaʿjilūnaseeking to hasten
TRANSLATION

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient

|||
14

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ

Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin

WORD BY WORD
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīnathe righteous
فِيfī(will be) in
جَنَّـٰتٖjannātinGardens
وَعُيُونٍwaʿuyūninand springs
TRANSLATION

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs

|||
15

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ

Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena

WORD BY WORD
ءَاخِذِينَākhidhīnaTaking
مَآmāwhat
ءَاتَىٰهُمۡātāhumtheir Lord has given them
رَبُّهُمۡۚrabbuhumtheir Lord has given them
إِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed, they
كَانُواْkānūwere
قَبۡلَqablabefore
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
مُحۡسِنِينَmuḥ'sinīnagood-doers
TRANSLATION

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good

|||
16

كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَ

Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona

WORD BY WORD
كَانُواْkānūThey used to
قَلِيلٗاqalīlanlittle
مِّنَminaof
ٱلَّيۡلِal-laylithe night
مَاmā[what]
يَهۡجَعُونَyahjaʿūnasleep
TRANSLATION

They used to sleep but little of the night

|||
17

وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ

Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroona

WORD BY WORD
وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِwabil-asḥāriAnd in the hours before dawn
هُمۡhumthey
يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَyastaghfirūnawould ask forgiveness
TRANSLATION

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

|||
18

وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ

Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomi

WORD BY WORD
وَفِيٓwafīAnd in
أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡamwālihimtheir wealth
حَقّٞḥaqqun(was the) right
لِّلسَّآئِلِlilssāili(of) those who asked
وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِwal-maḥrūmiand the deprived
TRANSLATION

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived

|||
19

وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَ

Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineena

WORD BY WORD
وَفِيwafīAnd in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِl-arḍithe earth
ءَايَٰتٞāyātun(are) signs
لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَlil'mūqinīnafor those who are certain
TRANSLATION

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
